This fall a new version of PHP 8.0 has been released. It includes a range of novelties and possibilities aimed at improvement of system efficiency. This means inclusion of JIT-compiler (code speed up), support of named arguments, support of attributes for metadata and classes without using the Docblock syntax, ‘match’-phrases support (value retrieving, support of condition combination). A previous version included the JSON support as a separate module, and from now on this is the main part of the language.

Without any doubt, developers should anticipate more opportunities, an extended list of which may be found in official preview. The list of changes is available on ChangeLog.
